No one can deny the fact that the impacts of bullying in school are massive and rampant. This essay will elaborate the consequences of bullying among students and propose possible solutions to this alarming issue.
One of the main negative effects of school bullying is that it diminishes the self-esteem of the students, especially those who are emotionally weak. This unjustifiable act sets the mind of students that they are always inferior and worthless. As a result, there will be an intervention on the student’s part to exert effort to excel both academically and personally.
Secondly, school bullying will lead to self-isolation. Bullied students tend to have a lower capacity to manage the kind of treatment they obtain. In this way, they would rather confine themselves in a place far from these bullies as a way of escaping and to be beyond their reach. Undoubtedly, these victims will have a decrease in their social interaction: they will become less friendly or not at all and will harbor a negative impression on people around them.
In my perspective, although bullying is a never ending conundrum, I strongly believe that there is always something that can be done to tackle it. This can be solved by the collaboration of parents and teachers. Both of them have to educate moral values and implications on what bullying can bring. Furthermore, despite its inevitable occurrence, both of whom have to assure that these students have someone to turn to when this happen to them.
