In almost all nations, women enjoy the same status that men do in terms of work, education, and even household decisions. However, there are still fields where women are still not generally accepted, such as in the police force. This essay discusses why it is deemed almost unacceptable to see women take part in traditional male job roles as well as the positive side of employing women in a workforce dominated by me.
It is undeniable that women have weaker bodies than men. For instance, women might be easier to take down by murderers and armed robbers compared to men. This could be a liability for the police and the government, since the insurance will expectedly be larger if women are always at risk compared to men.
However, women easily get attached to their work. Since they are deemed as the more emotional gender, loving what they do is almost second nature to taking care of their children. if women do something, they almost always do it well. Also, parents and children feel safer and more comfortable around women, which would be an asset since the police force is supposed to make citizens feel safe and at ease.
Women are now allowed to enter non-traditional female roles. Equality and respect is always good, but we must also consider the practically of these two ideals. We cannot always be in favour of women’s right if we want to run a business. And we cannot always be on the lookout for just male job seekers because the contribution of women to the workforce is too great to ignore.
In conclusion, gender must not be a factor in deciding what a person wants to do. It must instead, help in shaping and forming one’s personal take and approach on things. It is all about acknowledging one another’s choices.
