TOEFL Course

The Test of English as Foreign Language iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you integrate your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

TOEFL Course is sub-divided into four main subjects; Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Students enrolled in this program are offered a nine-subject standardized schedule based on CIP IELTS curriculum

Who needs this course?

  • Non-native speakers who hold degrees or diplomas from post-secondary institutions in English-speaking countries (e.g., the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand)
  • Non-native speakers who have successfully completed at least a two-year course of study in which English was the language of instruction
  • Transferring students from institutions in the United States or Canada whose academic course work was favourably evaluated in relation to its demands and duration
  • Non-native speakers who have successfully pursued academic work at schools where English was the language of instruction in an English-speaking country for a specified period, generally two years

This course is designed for students who would like to gain knowledge and test-taking strategies in taking the TOEFL exam.

TOEFL Course is composed of two (2) programs wherein students will have their options of study depending on their educational needs.

TOEFL EXAM PREPARATION COURSE – In this program the student will have four (4) 1:1 Non Native Speaker, two (1) Non-Native Group Class, (1) Native Group and can avail two (2) Optional Group Classes.

TOEFL GUARANTEE COURSE – In this program the student will have four (4) 1:1 Non Native Speaker, two (1) Native and 1 Non-native Group Class, and can avail one (1) 1:1 TOEFL Special Class every Saturday.

  1. Registered students are required to take the CIP Online Placement Test for TOEFL which covers all 4 modules: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing.
  2. After students have accomplished all tests needed, they will be receiving a results form. They will know their level even before they come to CIP.
  3. Students will then receive their timetable and can start their classes on Monday.
  4. CIP books will be available. Lesson plans are implemented to make sure that progressive learning for students will transpire.
  5. Students will be given an overview of the different subjects covered in the TOEFL exam on their first day.

TOEFL Test Scale is strictly being followed measure the students’ performance on the questions in the test. This is used to ensure that students’ proficiency level is competent upon graduating in CIP.
