Walking, the most trouble-free exercise, is scientifically proven that it brings people health benefits. There is no doubt in my mind that walking does not have an unfavorable effect on us. However, the number of people who are walking is dropping these days. In this essay, I will discuss the causes for its ongoing matter and the possible solutions for it.
The first likely reason for this is the increasing number of transportation vehicles. Due to the development of transportation, people these days are less likely to rely on walking, they take bus and train instead. To alter this tendency, one possible solution might be functional, which is a foundation of walkway. For example, the connection of a train station and a bus station by a walkway, might encourage people to walk more and to avoid using bus from one station to another. Even though this construction would be costly, it might be promising.
Secondly, the decline of health – consciousness could be the cause of walking–less–situation. Although some people are aware of how precious health is, however, others are not. In particular, young generations cannot afford to pay attention to how much degree they exercise probably on account of their busy life cycle. As a result, today, people don’t walk as much as in the past. To tackle this problem, it is suggested that we take advantage of the impact of advertisement. The more advertisements of walking benefit people watch on TV or magazines, the more they can perceive the importance of everyday walking on their physical state. As a consequence, we might be inclined to walk more than now.
In conclusion, there are two realistic methods to encourage people to walk more than now. These two solutions are likely to enrich their lives, by giving them more opportunities to walk.
